The inimitable jazz great, Grammy award winning pianist/vocalist, Ms. Shirley Horn, receives a copy of "Neo-Classic Blues" following her June, 2004, performance in Boston. Thanks again to photographer Pat Eynon for spreading our blues. (Photo by Pat Eynon) |

A new fan -- C.C.H. Pounder, star of film (Bagdad Cafe, Postcard From The Edge), and television (Emmy nominated) star of "ER," current lead in "The Shield" on FX, guest on "West Wing," etc. (Photo by Pat Eynon) |
The magnificent Lily Tomlin has a copy of "Bittersweet Blues" thanks to the diligence of two friends from the Boston area, Pat Eynon and Lisa de George. By wheeling and dealing, they were actually able to speak with Ms. Tomlin after a show and ... deliver the goods! We'd love to know if Lily ever listened. We feel sure she'd relate to those "Big Ovaries" and other songs. Lily (along with Whoopee, Bette Midler, and Tracey Ulman) is one of Gaye's sheroes and mentors. (And let us not forget writer Jane Wagner!) (Photo by Pat Eynon) |
